Shirley Band's Annual Last Night of the Proms

Tickets are now on sale for Shirley Band's annual Last Night of the Proms concert on 24 September 2022.

The concert will feature arrangements for brass band, including Jupiter from The Planets Suite by Gustav Holst, The Lion King, Lord of the Dance, Leonard Bernstein’s Somewhere from West Side Story. The Dambusters, theme to Dad’s Army by Jimmy Perry and Derek Taverner, and Breezin’ Down Broadway, arranged by Goff Richards.

Original works for brass band will include Frederick Schjelderup’s Felicitous, and Albion by Stephen Roberts.

The concert will conclude with Nimrod from Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Sir Henry Wood’s Fantasia on British Sea Songs, and Edward Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance.
