Shirley Band 2019 Christmas Concerts

Shirley Band from Solihull, which is celebrating its centenary year, is holding its annual Christmas concert and Christmas Children’s concert on Saturday 7 December at Shirley Baptist Church.

The band’s popular evening ‘Brass at Christmas’ concert, which will feature a range of festive music from traditional carols to Christmas film music and songs, is to be sponsored by the family owned independent Earlswood Garden & Landscape Centre.

The 45-minute long afternoon Children’s Christmas concert will feature a range of Christmas music, along with a selection from popular Disney film, Frozen. Special guest for the Children’s concert is to be Father Christmas.

Brian Johnson, Shirley Band’s secretary, said: “We’re really excited about our forthcoming Christmas concerts in Shirley and delighted to have linked up with Earlswood Garden and Landscape Centre and are extremely grateful for their generous support. Last year’s concerts were very popular, so book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.”

‘Brass at Christmas’ is priced £8.50 (adults), £7.00 (concessions) and tickets are free to under 12s. Tickets for the Children’s Christmas concert are priced £3.00 (adults), £5.00 (children) and children under 2 get in for free.

The Children’s Christmas concert will be from 3.00 pm to 3.45 pm and the ‘Brass at Christmas’ concert will be from 7.00pm until 9.15pm.
